Back in the saddle (again) / the return of the prodigal blogger. ~ Elise Espat

It all began innocently enough. A little trip to India and a distaste for group email blasts. Soon I was writing daily.

Just as suddenly I stopped, started, stopped, started, stopped and here I am again.

A couple of months ago my husband and I (we sort of eloped last weekend and that still sounds weird) packed up and took the Great American Road Trip from Brooklyn, New York to Albuquerque, New Mexico. After more than a few mouthfuls of 100% non-vegetarian vegetarian tacos (sorry but lard, chicken stock and food with the meat picked out is not vegetarian) we found a house, adopted a puppy, planted a vegetable garden, and watched a real 505 sunset minus smoke from Arizona.

But I didn’t just move out here for the chile. I got the keys yesterday for what will soon become the Albuquerque Ashtanga Yoga Shala (More on that later).

I find myself once again inspired to write. Stay tuned for tasty bites of life, love, the pursuit of veggie-ness and all things in between.

Elise Espat lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is an Authorized Ashtanga yoga teacher and will open the Albuquerque Ashtanga Yoga Shala in September. For more on Elise and the shala visit her website.

As much as I really do not enjoy that first day of class say your name and something about yourself and why you are here and pass the ball of string to the next person stuff — I have to start somewhere, get the juices flowing, that sort of thing. Okay, so the elopement, eh?
