How hungry we all are to be seen.

Seen beyond assuming ignorance and judgement by how we appear.

Whether a supermodel or a man serving a life sentence.

Is it a crime to be “beautiful” or to feel beautiful?

Is it a crime to be so devoted to your practice that it is beautiful?

 The camera does not judge.

Bilal is a three-striker serving a life sentence for crimes that were non-violent.

He had a drug problem.

It’s not just a gift we can give.
It’s a gift we receive.
The honor of reflecting another’s humanity can be linked directly to reassuring someone that they exist.
