I heard a song on the radio today and it made me think of you.

The chorus was, “We found love right where we are.” It’s that song by Ed Sheeran, Thinking Out Loud.

I’m thinking out loud,

that maybe we found love right where we are.

It’s pretty wonderful that the love we have is based in reality.

We love each other right here and right now.

Though we may have our fantasies and wish lists

about what we’d like to do and where we’d like to go together.

We don’t need any of that in order to make our love exactly what it should be.

 

Our love isn’t based on a fantasy about the future.

Our love isn’t relying on either of us to change.

Our love isn’t future tripping.

Our love isn’t relying on hope,

it’s built on what we have right now.

 

Our love is right here, right now, right where we are.

 

And that is why I believe this love is

one of the strongest and best I’ve ever experienced.

It’s so good right now without any pending action,

without any hoped for change or need for movement.

It bodes well for the future of this love.

 

We found love right where we are and no matter where we are,

I know we’ll find love there because that’s what we do.
