Getting the Perfect Yoga Body: Feel the Yoga Burn.

stacy porter

This routine might not be what you want it to be. It’s not going to be what you expect.

The fact is, you already have the perfect body.

This yoga routine is simple, but you’re going to sweat. That’s not the point, though. You might have come to yoga as a way to work out and lose some pounds. I’ve been there. Sometimes, I go back there. I slip into this dark state of mind where the mirror draws me in, not as a seductress, but as an evil force bent on destroying me and my joy. My thighs are too big. My arms jiggle. Whatever. Just…whatever.

Your body is stronger than you know and you’re more beautiful than you believe.

I can prove it to you. Right now.

This routine is designed to burn through the monkey-mind bullsh*t. It’s meant to make you stop thinking and stressing and counting calories. It’s all repetition, which gives you the opportunity to lose yourself in your body instead of thoughts in the mind.

We all have samskaras or obstacles. We all have these patterns that hold us back from our own success and dreams. They grow bigger every time we return to them, whether they take form as a bag of greasy chips or that alarm that we snooze a dozen times before finally getting up—too late to practice or do anything good for ourselves before work or other obligations.

The heat we generate in this routine, through the repetition of Surya Namaskara A and B, will set those samskaras on fire and burn them away…making them infertile and unable to harm us more, so long as we keep practicing and tending the flame.

Don’t worry about being perfect, because you already are.

Don’t worry about having a certain body, because yours is already amazing.

This routine will help you build strength, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
