Mohit Bansal Chandigarh Opens Up About His Battle With Depression

Mohit Bansal Chandigarh speaks about his struggle with depression. He illustrates how hard the suffering you get from depression and anxiety can be, and how to set oneself free of depression is related to letting go of one’s ego.

Mohit Bansal Chandigarh says that how depression can cause serious problems. When you want to be important and you want to matter, and you want your presence to be felt that is when you start feeling depressed. After being successful in photography, Mohit Bansal Chandigarh was depressed for a lot of reasons.

It is all because of your ego: the desire to be important, to be special, and to matter. The truth is it will do no good. As a matter of fact, you will only end up in pain and suffering. There are a few reasons for that. It will bring about a separation between you and all the things you are connected with. Secondly, it gets us into thinking that things are not going to change and we are not going to change.

Thirdly, it drifts us apart from resting in our goodness. We start to feel that we are not enough just the way we are.

So, what is the solution to this suffering? Well, you should let go of your desire to be someone else. Just be yourself and learn to embrace the fact that you’re unique and you matter. Mohit Bansal Chandigarh puts it beautifully in his own words. “The feeling of completeness is unique and different than ME-ness.” If you want to feel whole again, you must let go of every expectation you have from yourself.

Speaking from his personal experience, Mohit Bansal Chandigarh tries to connect the truth to the depression condition:

“People speak about anxiety and depression all day long. There is a huge divide between the two. Besides, sadness is happenstance. For example, something happens which you do not like or things did not turn out the way you planned them to be. Or maybe some sort of grief. But depression is different. It is when you do not like yourself anymore. Your body has stopped loving yourself and you have no will to live. You just hate yourself for everything and you hate your existence. Everything is just too much for you to take.

Don’t create hype out of the word ‘depressed.’ You should think of it as something with a meaning ‘deep rest.’ Your body needs rest. You are just fed up of your character. And it is okay to take some rest. The character you are playing needs some rest now.

Well, this is the best assessment you will ever hear about depression:

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Give yourself a break and let go of the character that you have been playing for so long. Learn to live with an open heart and spread happiness around the world. In the end, nothing matters. Mohit Bansal Chandigarh’s definition is very true and has a lot of deep meaning to it.

“I am not suffering from any sort of depression — literally none. I feel sad, happy, joyful, elation, and gratitude, and satisfaction beyond belief. But everything is seasonal. It does not sit on me and kill me. I am very thankful for my life.” ~ Mohit Bansal Chandigarh

So, if you are suffering from depression, you should learn to handle it well. First of all, you should never go into a situation where you have a lot of expectations from yourself. The zeal to become someone else or having to maintain your own image can make you hollow and kill you from inside. Mohit Bansal Chandigarh says that a lot of people have this misconception about depression that this will not happen to them.

But you should know that depression can happen to anyone. You should learn to embrace yourself and let go of all the worries. Stop stressing over things and learn to live in the moment. When you will be able to do that, you will be the happiest person on the planet. Not only will you be happy but you will also be able to lead a very healthy lifestyle.
