Scripting for Manifestation: Write Your Way to Your Dream Life in 2020

With 2019 preparing to come to a close, have you sorted out what you want from life in 2020? If you’re familiar with the Law of Attraction, you know that what you focus on will manifest into your world. One technique for making this happen, and making 2020 the best year yet, is scripting.

What is scripting? It’s writing down the things you want to manifest into your life. Writing your life story and creating it exactly the way you want it to be, in detail, to bring it into your reality. You can choose to focus on one thing (having a new car, for example) or your entire life (the job you want, the house you live in, your life partner).

In other words: If you could have everything exactly the way you want it, what would it look like?

When I first heard of this concept, I knew it was the right method for me. As a creative writer, conjuring up my ideal images through words is my cup of tea. Once I began to let my imagination flow onto the page, the rest fell into place.

If you’d like to try it for yourself, here’s what you need to get going: a blank notebook (a cheap spiral will do), a pen, and your imagination.

It’s a good idea to meditate before you begin scripting. Clear your mind of thoughts that aren’t useful and get into the right headspace. Put on some relaxing music if that helps. I personally use Chopin piano classics to help me put my mind at ease but if you’re more relaxed with Lizzo or Dolly Parton, use that. I wouldn’t recommend music that’s too heavy or dramatic, however.

Light some incense if that helps as well. Use candles to make the mood in the room one that’s prepped for relaxation.

Now, start to envision what you want. Put your feeling into it as you let your imagination flow.

Neville Goddard said “The secret is to imagine to the point of self-persuasion. Can you believe what you are imagining?”.

As you write, use all the details that you can: taste, smell, touch, sound, colors – everything. Don’t leave any details out. Write your story as though it is already there in front of you, as though you are living it.

Now, here’s a trick: Write it out in PAST tense! This might sound contrary to what you’ve heard before if you’ve practiced the Law of Attraction. Many will tell you to speak only in present tense (“I have the man of my dreams” “I work in my own successful business”) but by using past tense, you will let your mind know that it is already done (“I’m married to the man of my dreams” “I’ve made millions with my business”).

I like to do my scripting before bed and use the mood to allow me to drift into a restful sleep. Whenever you do your scripting, just relax and let the manifestation happen. Remember, “set it and forget it “is the key to effective creation.

Here’s to making 2020 the year of our dreams!
