Sometimes we find ourselves at a cross roads and not sure what direction to take. We may find ourselves there after a relationship has ended, or life has not turned out like we think we wanted.
Marriage and children didn’t happen when we thought it should.
The person we thought was the one, wasn’t.
We may feel something is missing. So we grasp onto things that we think will fill the void.
And that comes in the form of serial dating in desperation to find the one.
Or completely shutting ourselves off from love in all forms because our hearts have been broken so many times, it hurts too much to put ourselves out there again.
Or numbing out with food, alcohol, drugs, or binge watching television.
We avoid what our hearts are calling us to do in fear of not being good enough or that those desires, ( yes those too) are not meant for us.
Our desires are there for a reason. They are meant for us to come to fruition in this lifetime. However, it’s not always in our timeline.
There are other things we may have to do first.
Maybe we have to really step into your full potential first before we call in that soul mate.
Maybe we have some things to learn before we can be that person who can handle the type of relationship we deserve.
Maybe we have to learn to be an incredible partner to ourselves first before we can be a partner to someone else.
Maybe we have to work through some emotional stuff before we are ready for that person to arrive.
Maybe we have to date people that are “wrong” for us as a stepping stone to get to that partner that is aligned with our highest best version of ourselves.
We need to consider these things before thinking there is something wrong.
When you find yourself at a crossroads and don’t know what to do, ask yourself the following:
What do you want? How do you want to wake up every day? How do you want to show up?
How do you want to feel every day?
Once we are clear then we need to believe this is possible. Because here is the thing. No relationship is going save us. It’s not going to make everything better.
Listen to the signs. Listen to the Universe when things are pointing in a different direction. Then answer the call.
It wasn’t until I answered the call that my life began to change. I started to listen to my intuition and started to do things that made me happy instead of waiting for that perfect time with a partner.
I started living for me. In the process I discovered that I loved to travel, and through that discovered how I want to live my life. I discovered gifts inside me that had been dormant for years. I kept waiting to share them with a partner before sharing them with the world. That way of living left me very unfulfilled.
Once I said yes to my hearts desires, magic started to happen. One step after another kept appearing before me and before I knew it, I am exactly where I want to be. I am no longer stuck. I know I am on the right path.
Is it scary? Yes. But we all have have a choice. We can keep living life being disappointed by what is not happening or to say yes to our ability to create what we want!
I promise this is possible for you. And I know it’s not easy to answer the call. You may not even know where to start but you know you need to do something different. You have a life ready and waiting for you to say yes to.
Once we say yes, the doors start to open and we start to feel radiant and hopeful again. We become like a beacon that will attract all blessings, including that amazing partner that we know in our hearts is out there.
