Love for all humans, love for every living being is indeed spirituality.

This is the love for the Supreme Soul that’s residing within each living being, hence there’s equal love for everyone!

This Love is very Different from What we get to See in this World

This love arises from the Supreme Soul which is our real Self. Hence there’s no expectation or any kind of selfish interest in it. It does not look for faults of anyone. It never changes or wavers, it keeps flowing constantly. It does not overflow when someone offers praise nor does it turn hostile towards the one who insults us. Even when you scold the one with such spiritual love, he remains calm; and moreover takes utmost care to not hurt the offender. There’s never disappointment or discontentment in any corner. In the presence of such love, even wicked people melt and surrender.

Such love attracts everyone, the learned as well as the illiterate, the young and the old. Such love accommodates everyone. All doors open with such real love. 

The Love of the Absolute Vitarag is called Real Love

Real love is when one becomes an Absolute Vitarag (One who is free from all attachment); it is full love! One can never find anything comparable to the love of the One who is a complete Vitarag. If one were to behold a Vitarag and experience his aura of detachment (vitaragta) just once in his life, he would surrender himself completely. He will never be able to forget that love even for a moment!

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan says, “Love is when one does not feel even the slightest of negativity towards anyone. So only an Absolute Vitarag state (free from all attachment) is called love. As one becomes more and more detached (Vitarag), one’s love will arise proportionately. The Absolute Vitarag has Absolute love!” 

Love is different from Compassion

Compassion is a universal intent that arises out of one’s empathy for everyone who is trapped in world’s miseries. One with compassion is highly concerned about how people’s miseries can be alleviated. But love is different.

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan specifies, “Love is the vitamin for the Soul. People have taken a lot of vitamins for the body, but they have never taken the vitamin for the Soul. When one sees pure love – the vitamin, the inner energy of the Soul expresses.”

In Pure love, One feels Oneness with Everyone, because There is no Ego

There are people who love unselfishly. But they still have ego, and therefore their love is not said to be totally pure.

In virtuous love, there is no greed or deceit, however one has a sense of being: ‘I am John (you may insert your own name here).’ That is the subtlest level of egoism. But in pure love, one feels oneness with everyone because there is no ego.

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan explains, “As long as this ego is present, there can never be pure love. Ego and pure love cannot co-exist. When does pure love occur? It is when the ego starts to dissolve and only when the ego completely disappears, that one becomes an embodiment of pure love. The embodiment of pure love is the Absolute Soul.”

Gnani Purush is Pure Love; He can Take Away our Ego and Give us our Soul right away

The love that we see in the Living Gnani Purush is the love of the Living Lord. Gnan is the invisible, subtle form of the Lord, which takes some time to understand. But the pure love of Gnani Purush which you can see clearly is itself the Divine Lord in human form. The pure love is the Absolute Self.

Love resides within the one who has known the Self in all its splendour and glory. Gnani Purush has known the Self and he has the spiritual powers to give us the knowledge of our Self too (Self-Realization). Love arises after one transcends the relative self (the wrong belief of ‘I am John’) and becomes absolutely independent (attains the right belief of ‘I am a Pure Soul’). Gnani gives us bliss that blossoms into this love. Once this love starts to grow, we can never forget it!

Where there is Love, there is Liberation

Where can one find the real knowledge? It is where work is achieved through love. There, there is no give or take; there is oneness there. Where there is exchange of money, there is no love. Do people not charge a fee for their spiritual discourses? That is a business and you will not find love there.

Where there is love there is no deceit. Where there is deceit there is no love. Pure love is born out of non-insistence; insistence is poison. Until one attains the state where one becomes free of all insistence, the love of the world will not be acquired. One becomes an embodiment of love when one does not look for rules and regulations. When you are embodiment of love, people listen to you.

Gnani has Love for Everyone

When one tastes the love and oneness of being with the Gnani Purush just once, Gnani remains in his memory forever, even when surrounded by various miseries in life!

Gnani’s love makes people feel blissful. This love creates a permanent bond between them. Whenever a person falls into difficulties, Gnani is his solace. Param Pujya Dadashri shares how people feel, “So many people live solely on this love of mine. They are constantly with Dada, nothing but Dada. They are not bothered even if they get nothing to eat. Love is such a thing. Their sins are completely destroyed with this very love.”
