I Miss You On Saturdays

As a professional in the human service field my work often involves grief work.
Often it triggers my own grief and loss. Today is such a day and so I reflect and I write it out.

Grief can be heavy if we carry it alone.

The following poem might speak to your heart today. Whatever comes up feel it and let it go. Reach out and share with those you love.

I miss you on Saturdays from the first rays of light until the end of day.

I miss you on Sundays as the church bells chime. In the sweet moments of prayer on bended knee.

I miss you on Mondays when work is heavy and hard.

I miss you on Tuesdays when I need inspiration and help to find that spark. Oh, I remember your voice and laughter and your tender heart.

I miss you on Wednesdays when I am halfway through. Sometimes the week isn’t easy without you.

I miss on Thursdays our check-in and talks. The light from you messages forever warm my heart.

I miss you on Fridays your calm and your light reminding me to slow down and let go.

I really do miss you on Saturdays and the whole week through and each day and every moment reminds me of you.
