It has been two years now that I have started to publish the books in the attic, the shed and the stories I have stored safely away hidden under my bed.

I have been writing my entire life and somehow  miraculously at the middle stage of life I have found the vulnerability and the courage to share my gifts and my life with the world.

The following story is a special Christmas gift for you.

Until now it has only been shared as an audio recording and today I feel the need to write it out and share.

The past two years have been incredibly hard for everyone and so it is time to pause and take inventory and reflect.

I hope you enjoy this story this Christmas and in 2022.

The Gifts For The World- A Reflection

There once was a boy who loved to walk the banks of the river where he lived.

One dreary winter day the boy set off and walked the shoreline.

He walked until he saw an old man standing and warming himself by a blazing fire.

In curiosity the boy walked closer. The man’s eyes seemed to glow like the fire so the boy paused watching from a distance.

The man rubbed his hands by the fire and glanced up and their eyes met. The old man motioned the boy over with a gentle smile.

The boy walked closer and there he saw an old cardboard box.

This must be the man’s shelter thought the boy.

” I will not harm you ” said the old man and his eyes brimmed with love and he again motioned the boy closer.

Hearing this the boy relaxed and walked closer.

” Look in the box said the old man and come closer.”

The boy cautiously listened and opened the box and looked in.

What he saw in the box was embers dancing.

What is this strange magic trick? thought the boy.

” What is this?” he asked the old man.

“In this box you see embers dancing right? These embers are the gifts for the humanity” said the old man.

These embers are the gifts of hope, love,peace, tolerance, generosity, forgiveness, trust and compassion.

” You can have these gifts” said the man.

” How?” asked the young boy

” Take a step forward” said the man and the boy did. ‘ Now breathe in” The boy took a deep breath of air the the light from the box flowed into the boys mouth and filled him. ” Let these gifts fill your heart” said the man and the boy smiled for he knew this was true.

” Go share your gifts with the world” and the man smiled .

” You dear one are the gifts of hope, love, peace, tolerance, generosity, forgiveness, trust and compassion.

” You my child are the gifts for the world”

The boy was filled with love and and nodded for he believed.

Peace and Love dear ones! I share this with you for each and everyone of you can have these gifts!  The secret is that these are only gifts if we share with the world.
