“I drink raw milk.”

I don’t know about you, but there’s a few things I’ve bought into my life—speediness, efficiency, going out on Friday nights even when I didn’t want to…that I wish I hadn’t bought into. And there’s many things—going to the unpopular and nerdy but great, ethical yoga studio, riding a bike instead of driving a car…that I’m glad I had the personal joy around that prevented me from feeling like I had to be something I wasn’t, just to impress others.

What else?

1. “Grind culture / burnout. Destroying your body and mind for someone else is a fools errand and shouldn’t be glorified.”

“Pushing yourself to the point where you have no time for yourself isn’t healthy.

Having a good work ethic is important, and a strong work ethic is admirable. But there’s a big difference between working hard and living solely to work – and the latter isn’t ideal.”

2. “Having a huge friend group full of toxic people who not-so-secretly despise each other.”

3. “Never changing your opinion.

Some people take that as sticking to their guns or being principled or whatever. Plus they never have to admit when they’re wrong, which is nice for their ego.

That really just means they don’t learn from their mistakes.”

6. “Overconsumption. The illusion they have their life together by having separate containers for 11 different laundry detergents.”
