Popemobile? Heaven can Wait.

The Popemobile: why?

God works in mysterious ways…so best be safe, and avoid martyrdom.

Seriously: it’s no contradiction to care for oneself and serve others.

That said, to be serious, there’s the whole notion of God’s plan not counteracting free will, and it is, of course, best to be commonsense and protect oneself from known danger if one is doing good work.

So is it a contradiction to want to live well and long and serve others? Perhaps too much wealth is selfish, but taking care of oneself so that one may be of service certainly is not.

Let’s remember: “The pope used to ride in an open car prior to the 1981 assassination attempt.” There’s plenty of crazies out there. Best be safe.
