3 Ways to Tap Into the Essence of the Soul.

woman jumping sky happy birds

Spiritual breakthroughs are at the very core of our being.

A grand awakening brings together the heart, mind, body and soul.

Discovering our essence and the very nature of who we are drives that purpose home.

Caring for the soul requires so much tenderness and gentle caressing.

All learning and growing will call forth a new you whether the old you may believe it or not.

These are facts and mantras that I dream about every moment.

I’m experiencing this now as we speak. Tiptoeing around all of my edges by gazing into a still pond and seeing what image is mirrored back to me shows that this is no ordinary life. It’s only my life and my choices and my destiny.

I’ve been learning about the essence of my soul for years now and how it manifests in my everyday thinking. Often, I like what I see. More times than not, I want to ban parts of my shadows that have grown tired and wrinkly and sullen. This is not from the outside. This is deep on the inside.

We all have an essence, a genuine nature that carries us into a new dimension of being and loving. The soul is love. Nothing else needs to matter when it comes from a true place and the very blueprint of our beginning.

If I planned every instance that has occurred in my life, whether positive or negative, I would do a disservice to the soul. It is only through discovery and travel that I have gained more about my DNA and its needs. We all have this insatiable desire to dive into the root of our essence, into what makes us tick and how it all fits into the grander scale of this planet.

The only answer for our very makeup lies within our soul. Understanding our typical life and transforming it into an extraordinary one is what the essence of our soul asks from us, the pathway to love.

We all come from humble beginnings. We all make mistakes. We all fail, rise up, fall again, and hopefully conquer our worst demons.

That still pond that we gaze into—the mirror of our ego—we can either accept what we see, or we can choose to transcend the image and carry our real, raw essence into the world. Deciding on the latter is the toughest work. As the soul’s mission is all about love, caring for it means respecting its emotions and fantasies. If we view love only from a high moralistic peak, we will overlook the soul settling in the valleys.

The wonderful and mysterious ways of the soul are found when we reflect on the tragedies of love, when we overcome miseries by slowly walking through them and knowing that love is the means of entry and our guide.

The soul needs some amorous sadness to gather the steam of progression into its own unique wisdom. I learn this every single day.

I have found through my own years of growth that there are three ways to tap into the soul’s essence:

1. Be a vagabond—traveling and exploring and discovering can only happen when we step outside of ourselves, connect with new experiences, see the planet eye-to-naked-eye, and absorb the beauty and all its goodness.

Whether going solo or with a like-minded partner who shares your vision, being a vagabond opens up the soul to a richer essence; there are no two ways about it. Harvesting the seeds of self-acceptance and loving attachment to the broader world appear with experiences. Go for as long as needed, and have no plan but to be aware and welcome each possibility and opportunity. We can even discover new places in our own backyards. The key is to get out of our comfort zones and dispel the fear.

2. Be willing and open—this can be an extension of the vagabonding excursions, but I have found that being resistant and closed off to newness doesn’t allow the soul to grow or carry through with its true purpose.

This means to transcend over-compromising and be aware that a loving essence displays limitless potential and opens your heart to others, the planet, and yourself in a more down-to-earth way. Love always ushers in a whole new community of people and sparks imagination into extraordinary activity.

3. Be the voice and power of your own choices—the soul goes through a series of starts and stops throughout its journey into wholeness and oneness.

By absolutely taking charge of the power given to us during the self-love phase, which is sidling up to the ego and transforming it into a gift to ourselves and others, our choices will reflect our eternal voice and its unique patterns. The goal is to look at that reflection and make an outward difference in the world. Use the power of your voice to make a change.

Caring for the soul is similar to an entire voyage that we are here to perform. Happiness dwells only in the soul, as it is driven by love.

Growing from the inside out is the very reason of why we are here. No other person can do it for us.

The essence of our individuality is how the soul operates. It is made up of the insane and twisted as much as it is the rational and normal, therefore approaching the adjustments and the realizations of the soul’s mysteries is our true nature.

I continue to be on this spiritual excursion of the soul, and it no doubt expands further with the beauty of the sunsets, the mystery of the moon, and a full appreciation of nature and its wonders. Truth seems to lie in all that surrounds me.

Love is absolutely everywhere.
