Be Fluid. {Poem}

Be fluid.

Too often, we let the fear of being judged affect our behavior.
Write until letters are spilling from your eyes
Until every spoken word out of your mouth is poetical or philosophical
Or just something that will make people react in a way unconventional to them
Sing until your brows vibrate in correspondence to your voice
When you open your mouth, let your soul pour out
And don’t give a f*ck who hears it

Be fluid

Remember to breathe, especially in the times you feel like you are suffocating
Don’t be afraid to close your eyes to open up your other senses
You might find that you like the dark
Don’t be ashamed of what you have to offer the world
We have a misguided intention that we can sponge the brilliance from others
That bright, glowing presence of the people we wish to be, well it is just their soul shining
Remember that you have a soul too; it is just buried under your discontent
Stop comparing yourself to other humans
It only leaves you with a sense of false hope that you can be more like them
You are already shining if you don’t take that comparing judgment with you wherever you go

Be fluid

In your movements and in your thoughts
When you rise in the morning, place your bare feet onto the floor
Ground yourself daily, make a practice of it
When you move, move with purpose and poise
If you find yourself weak and comparing your individualism to anything,
Compare it to water; a steady flow, moving with the Earth
