The World’s Wisest 6-year-old Schools her Parents on Divorce & Life.

This little girl just humbled me, “right down to the ground,” to use her words.

I also learned a thing or to from my own parents’ divorce, and their relationship afterward —although it happened much later in my life.

Sure, there were conflicts and differences, and there still are, but friendship and respect remained, and still do.

Of course, this isn’t always possible—and in certain dysfunctional relationships, it’s a downright bad idea—to retain ties with your ex.

But for most of us, when our marriages don’t stand the test of time for whatever reason, her advice to “settle our mean heights down to short heights,”  and “try to be steady—on the floor” is probably the best I’ve ever heard.

I’m pretty sure we’d have happier families, no matter what the shape of them, and a happier world if we all listened to her.
