This touching note from father to son first appeared on the Facebook page of FCKH8.com, an anti-homophobia organization, on November 26.
Since its share, this letter’s image has become a viral sensation.
FCKH8.com founder Luke Montgomery told Yahoo that the letter was emailed to them by a Michigan high school student known only as Nate. Montgomery admitted: “We get a lot of crazy stuff, so I almost didn’t look at it.” When he did he burst into tears.
Montgomery says also that: “It’s actually sad so many people are excited about it. And what I think that says is, one, it’s rare, and that’s really bad. And two, people are really craving this kind of reaction.”
He goes on to say that this simple, loving response is all anyone seeks.
“It’s what I want,” he told Yahoo. ‘It’s what everyone wants.”
