7 Ideas for a Low-Key & Intimate Valentine’s Day.

Keeping it low-key this year?

Here are seven low-key Valentine’s Day ideas to do with your lover:

1. Order takeout

Or have your favorite restaurant deliver. You know that hole-in-the-wall taco place you went to on your first date? Mix up some margs and have it delivered!

2. Play a game

Cheesy, I know, but bust out the ole’ Monopoly board or make it a group thing and Zoom your BFF and their date!

3. Cook together

Now is the perfect time to try out one of those fancy recipes you have been dying to try. Why not try it out together?

4. Rent a movie (or the whole theater)

I’m sure if you have a smart TV or a cable subscription with movie channels, you know by now you can rent movies, even brand new ones, from the comfort of your own home.

Some movie theaters are even renting out the entire theater with a minimum purchase. Invite a few buddies and have a few laughs in a theater (all to yourselves)! Check with your local movie theaters to see if this is an option for you.

5. Dessert

Okay, seriously, who doesn’t love dessert? Grab some items at your local store to make his or her favorite dessert—enough said.

6. Dress up

Get dressed; we’re staying in. Put on that outfit you have been dying to wear for the last year because those jeans fit you perfectly, and that top was seriously made for you. Play your favorite jams and just be in the moment with each other.

7. Go for a drive

One of my favorite things to do is to go for a drive—no destination, just drive. Whether it’s with a friend just driving aimlessly on a Friday night or with a coworker to run across town and get out of the office for a bit, I love a drive and good conversation.

Talk to each other, put on your favorite 90s boy band. Just get away and enjoy your time!

Happy Valentine’s Day, lovers!
