How to Truly & Authentically Embrace our “Powerful Feminine.”

What does “Powerful Feminine” mean?

“Feminine” is about the ability to go in. “Powerful” means accessing our strength.

So, it is about the power inside us.

Allowing ourselves to be powerful might look different than we imagine. It’s letting ourselves be seen and being fully ourselves from a soft place, rather than the almost aggressive approach that might come to mind when we think of standing in our power.

Instead, the Powerful Feminine has a soft yet potent edge, with the ability to be fierce if needed. It’s counter to what we’ve heard about power, yet it’s the best way for us to live our lives and thrive in business.

Seeing women being aggressive in business makes me feel resistant and tense. As with debates around feminism, our voices often go unheard, and we’re seen as crazy women who struggle to control ourselves. We’re branded as “hysterical” and told to “calm down.”

As women, to allow ourselves to fully drop into the feminine, we need to feel safe. We can create a false sense of safety when we control and manipulate in business or life. Whereas the truth is when we’re in flow, we trust our intuition, knowledge, and connection, so everything aligns naturally rather than being forced. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and ask for what we need, we naturally create safety. The biggest issue is probably trust—we must trust that if we ask for what we need, it will come, and we’ll be okay.

This is evident in the way we’re seen in business as well. I’ve often heard that women bosses can either be amazing or terrible. The terrible ones try to act like men, aggressive and forceful, while the amazing ones are in their Powerful Feminine—truly in flow.

I know I have been quite “male” at times in my life; I learned from a lady who worked high up in the corporate world. I would try to control, overanalyze, and micromanage everything within an inch of its life. Eventually, I felt exhausted and constantly irritated with those around me for failing to live up to my unrealistic standards—I was miserable. And it felt awful.

This misery motivated me to stop trying to be male and instead learn what Powerful Feminine energy felt like and how it worked in business. I am now more successful, happy, in pleasure, and at peace than I have ever been. I love everyone I work with, and I know they love how we work together—they always comment on how fun it is. We call it “play” rather than work.

To enter that soft place, we must truly know ourselves and our cycles. Once we can understand our rhythm in our cycles, we can use it to empower ourselves in all areas. With this knowledge, we can access our fullest power.

Feeling like we can stand and shine.

When we think of power, we might think of fighting or rising against something, but it’s the opposite. When we open, receive, connect to our cycles, that is where our power is, and there is nothing to push against. By connecting to our natural rhythm, we naturally shine and thrive. We still stand for ourselves and have boundaries, but the push or fight no longer exists.

We start by learning our pace to begin tapping into our power. Certain times of the month are for rest and detailed work, and other parts of the month are about going out and connecting with others. Knowing when to do what makes everything flow, and we can be fully ourselves. To do this, we need to embrace our cycle.

Our cycles are partly to do with our periods and our rhythms throughout the month. But it is also about learning our rhythm without a period because our cycles continue once we become menopausal. We also have a cycle if we’ve never had a period in our lives. We must take the time to discover what our cycles are—they’re an invaluable place of center for ourselves, and they’re often connected to the moon. Imagine aligning our lives with our cycles. Once we do, we can use the different parts of our cycles to get more connected, be more creative, and strengthen everything in our lives and businesses.

This is when our light shines the brightest, and we feel the best all the way through the month, living in flow and from a place of pleasure and power. This is when we allow ourselves to be seen by showing ourselves to the world. To be open and dare to share our vulnerability and follow our desires. This is us in our fullest Powerful Feminine.
